A Therapeutic Method

Morrocco Method Zen Detox is a therapeutic method to assist in detoxing accumulated chemicals from synthetic shampoos, conditioners, styling products, coloring agents, perms, hair relaxers, and Sodium Laurel Sulfate. There are 38 different names for SLS including DEA, TEA, MEA and Cocomide, a synthetic so-called coconut oil. There are a wide variety of toxic exposures, including environmental and industrial pollution, toxic water and air. All of these chemicals and pollutants are stored in the body, in our glands and immune system.

Over a period of time the body cannot naturally detox and the toxic build up causes diseases and can be carcinogenic. Our herbs and spices enhancing this unique formula help eliminate the chemicals, heavy metals and often carcinogenic exposures of daily living.

How to Use Zen Detox Hair & Scalp Therapy

For best results use a wooden spoon and a wooden or glass bowl for mixing. Take 1/3 of the packet and slowly add natural water until it becomes a thick creamy consistency.

As all clays are alive this will let the clays recharge themselves back to their own life force. Use immediately or let it set up 24 hours before use.If you have mixed more than you need, allow the remaining product to dry out, then add water when you are ready for the next treatment. It will keep indefinitely at room temperature. Do not refrigerate!

Prepare a hot bath, light candles, play meditation music, and simply relax and soak. While hair is dry, in the bath or before entering, massage the formula into the scalp and hair, using the entire amount. Although formulated specifically for the scalp, this holistic product can safely be in contact with the skin of your face, neck and hands.

Leave the detox formula on from 15 to 45 minutes depending on how you adjust. When ready, wet your hands and massage deep into the hair and scalp, loosening the hair and allowing air to uplift the detox therapy and helping it penetrate deeper into the hair follicles and scalp.

For your first treatment leave the detox on for 15 to 30 minutes. The next week try 30 to 45 minutes. On the third week treatment try 30 to 60 minutes.

As the formula lifts the toxins from your hair and scalp and reaches the blood circulating below the skin, more toxins begin to be lifted away, resulting in a pleasant sensation of increased clarity in the brain.

When your time is up, simply submerge your head into the bathtub water and massage the formula out of your hair and scalp. You may wish to shower before leaving the tub.

Using the detox in the evening just before going to bed can be the most relaxing time of the day, sending you into a restful sleep. This formula will be good for three treatments for normal length hair. For long, thick hair, use half this package per treatment for a two week treatment.

This spa therapy treatment can be done once weekly in three consecutive treatments. For maximum results repeat once per season. Four full treatments per year should be sufficient in detoxing the hair follicles, scalp, and sebaceous glands, and clarifying the brain.

Zen Detox — Not Just for Hair and Scalp

Detoxing is an important part of creating an environment to improve and maintain healthy hair and scalp. It can also bring other benefits as well, as I discovered when facing a severe reaction to strong, chemical based shampoos and soaps.

As a person who has always had extremely dry, sensitive skin, finding products that are natural and don't exacerbate drying can be almost impossible. Morrocco Method offered a solution for me, however, it did not become clear to me just how big the difference between these amazing products and the so called "natural" shampoos found in most stores was until my family had to do battle with an outbreak of ringworm that came from a newly adopted kitten.

Within 10 days of the kitten's adoption, I woke up to find ringworm fungal spots all over my face, neck, arms, legs and stomach. The next day, my husband had the dreaded spots as well and one by one, all of our pets displayed the signs.

Anyone who has ever dealt with this is probably thinking to themselves auugggh! Eradication of this fungus from one's home and family members requires the use of some very harsh chemical agents to scrub floors, bed linens and clothes, not to mention what has to be used on the affected areas of the body.

The treatment typically lasts at least five weeks. The shampoo and soap one must wash with has a chemical list so long and unpronounceable it is scary. Well, we took the plunge and after a few days, the symptoms started to subside and by the end of the five long weeks, the family was fungus free. But that was when the real "fun" began for me.

About 2 days after stopping the harsh chemical fungus treatment, I awoke to a view of myself in the mirror that was ghastly. My sensitive skin had broken out in a severe eczema reaction from head to toe and my face was swollen to the point that I looked like I had just fought the heavy weight boxing champion for 10 rounds. My scalp, hairline and ears were bright red and hot to the touch.

My first step was to visit my acupuncturist/holistic herbalistwho told me the key to fixing this was to detox my body as quickly as possible to purge the exposure to all the chemical shampoos and soaps.

I wrote to Anthony Morrocco explaining my situation and he was gracious and helpful and recommended a list of products that brought almost instant relief to the discomfort the chemicals had caused.

As a first step, I began using the Pine Shale Shampoo (Element Air) as a hair and body wash. This helped soothe some of the inflammation and dryness. The key ingredient for accelerating my recovery was Zen Detox Hair & Scalp Therapy. Mixing a little extra than needed for a hair treatment, I applied the needed amount on my hair and scalp and used the balance heavily on my hair line, ears, forehead, cheeks and neck — everywhere the red rash reaction appeared. I would sit in a medium warm bath with the treatment on for about 45 minutes. I did this every other day for 1 week. At the end of this period, the swelling went down considerably and so did the "heat" and irritation. In addition, I would spray Diamond Crystal Moisturizer onto my face and in my hair line to cool the irritated areas and add much needed moisture.

Important to note is that during this period, I refrained from all spicy foods, shellfish, fish, nuts and limited my dairy intake. I drank lots of green tea and room temperature water.

Between the "cleansing" liquids, diet changes and MMI products, I was visibly improved in 2 weeks and back to normal in about a month.

I learned a lot from the experience although it was quite uncomfortable. Chemicals, no matter how mild can produce some unexpected results and that if you really want to protect yourself and do something good for your body, it has to be all natural.
